FELLP'scollectionreflectsthesignificantcontributionoftheFacultyofFineArtsatTheMaharajaSayajiraoUniversityofBarodatothedevelopmentofmodernandcontemporaryIndianartfromitsbeginningsinthe1950stoitscontinuinginfluence.Atitscentreareartists,teachers,andstudentsassociatedwiththeBarodaSchool,whosepracticesandideasshapedgenerationsofartistsacrossthecountry.

Thecollectionalsolooksbeyondtheinstitutionitself,bringingtogetherworksbyartistswhoinfluenced,engagedwith,orwereindialoguewiththeBarodacommunity.ArtistssuchasSudhirPatwardhan,ArpitaSingh,VarunikaSaraf,GievePatel,amongothers,formpartofthiswidernetwork,allowingthecollectiontoexploreBarodanotasanisolatedschool,butasadynamicexchangeofideasandpractices.
